Color Theory is no doubt one of the hardest classes I have ever had and mixing neutrals has been quite the adventure.
On the 11th floor of the Parsons Building, I am able to take in one of the most beautiful views of Manhattan. With an array of buildings and a reminder of how weird some buildings are built in Manhattan, we were to make a sketch of day and night of a chosen view.
Choosing whichever time of day study we liked more, I went with an afternoon view.
With three “neutrals from complementary sets” scales that we created before hand, I was a bit hesitant but I tried incorporating colors from all three sets to create the “mood” I was feeling when looking out the window as reference.
This painting served as the color palette for a “design solution.”
With illustration, fashion design and communication design as my three main interests, I created a design solution.
