DISNOVATION, NICOLAS MAIGRET IN RESIDENCE AT PARSONS PARIS

Parsons Paris is pleased to welcome Nicolas Maigret for his research “Disnovation” commissioned by Benjamin Gaulon, director of the MFA Design + Technology.
“Disnovation” is a critical exploration of the mechanics and rhetoric of innovation.

While in residence Nicolas Maigret’s will participate in the Parsons Paris community at the following events:

  • Public talk as part of the Dorkbot meetings, April 3rd
  • Series of workshops on “Disnovation” April 23rd & May 14th
  • Research blog [coming soon]
Nicolas Maigret’s work in digital art and sound exposes the internal workings of media, through a reflection on their errors, their dysfunctions, their limitations or failure thresholds, through immersive, sensory audio-visual experiences. After completing studies in inter-media art, Maigret joined the Locus Sonus lab, where he explored networks as a creative tool. He taught at École des beaux-arts de Bordeaux and co-founded the collective Art of Failure in 2006. He is also involved with the project Platforme, an artist-run centre in Paris.
