When: Wednesday 8th of October 2014, 8 to 9pm
Where: Parsons Paris room 301

Make the audience(,) make the work: mediation and open art as invitation.

Using transmission and representation as tools can enable mutual creation between an artist as organizer and an enabled audience. Invitation, audience as medium, and experience as product create the potential for unexpected and mutable expressions of form.

Ryan ⊥ Dunn is a media and performance artist considering the implications and manipulation of mediation and communication. He is invested in open culture, expanded field interventions and the primacy of experience as product, and redefining the roles of creativity and pedagogy as both inexorably intertwined and problematically so. He has performed across the US as well as internationally. Originally from the Pacific Northwest United States, Ryan now lives and practices in Chicago where he directs the performative media arts space Tritriangle. Ryan received a BA from Reed College and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
