My final project began with exploring the different ways in which a sound can be identified through image and object.
I recorded myself saying my name: NITZAN NEVO, using Audacity.
The SOUND transformed into a sound wave IMAGE.
I initially tried to import the mp3 file into processing to create an accurate line representation of my sound before I 3D print it.
After a failed attempt with processing (which I still have not figured out), I resorted to a simple screenshot of the sound wave image.
By using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator I cleaned and perfected my sound wave image, ready to continue to my 3D part of the project.
At this point, I received some assistance and resorted to SketchUp in order to create an .stl file for the 3D printer.
My goal was to create a 3D representation of my sound by using the 3D printer.
I used the 3D object to create a mold to reproduce my personal sound.
