– When Greg told us to make a shape with boxes, I chose the biggest box among the options. I thought if I had a big one, then I could make more various shape than small one. And I didn’t make my box complicated shape because I want to make complicated shape out of simple shape. That’s why I made that simple two boxes above. Since my box has simple shape, the process of covering with muslin wasn’t so difficult. It was hard because of the size though. When I put my box-shaped muslin on the mannequin, I considered two things; keep right angles and also drape by crushing the box shape. I’m pretty satisfied with my outcomes. I like my muslin is one-piece (except belt), where the zipper is, and the whole shape. But I don’t like the point of the back side (as you mentioned) and the belt line (poorly made). And also I regret not making this skirt with decent fabric not muslin.

1. Closure

As you can see in the last frame of the right page, we can assume there is a human, even if we can only see his hands. That’s closure.

In the book ‘Understanding Comics’, It describes ‘closure’ as ‘observing the parts but perceiving the whole.

2. Action-to-action

The hat is blown away from first scene to last scene.

The book says “same subject in continuous action; the middle of an action is skipped, our brain closes the gap.”

3. Motion lines

This lines help drawing to be seen active.
