The Stonewall Riots 1969

People I interviewed:

Isabella — Student at lang

In this interview I conducted the student knew about the stonewall riots she shared her thoughts and what she believed made the stonewall so important.

Courtney Garkani— Student at Parsons

Different from my two other interviewees this student focused more on how far the gay community has gotten today she knew a lot about the current news and what they had achieved, making her interview very useful for my podcast

Chloe Richmond —Student at lang

This interview went along the same line that the first one did, the interviewee didn’t know much about the riots but knew enough to say how they thought they had impacted the gay community and the obtaining of their equal rights.

Improving:

In my opinion I feel like I need more interviews, and I already have arranged to meet more interviewees that might offer a different take or more specific information about the stonewall riots and the stone wall inn. In the next few days I will focus in finding these different information pieces so I can start my editing and have my final piece ready to be listened to on friday.
After collecting the other interviews I already have scheduled I will also proceed to narrate a little bit of the history about the riots that may help make my piece stronger.

The paper VS. The podcast

The research paper in my opinion is very different from the podcast it is more based on information that on experiences and opinions, though both highlight the importance of this event they do it in a very different way.
