The Penny
America is a materialistic society. Having to rely on money to access the most basic necessities, such as water, forces people to view the world materialistically. Due to this, both American items and people are valued based off of their price tag. My goal is to emphasize the weight that money has on each individual in the United States, and how this weight can compromise people’s judgement of the people and things around them.
