Eugene Atget

Eugene Atget was a  iconic documentary and architecture photographer. He was inspired to capture the “old  Paris “ before everything became modernized in his time. The French photographer was determine to keep the old Paris alive through his photographs. He photographed Paris with a large format view camera. He wanted to save all the details of old Paris before it gets modernized. Many of his photography were done at dawn, and are for their diffuse light and wide views. He also used the technique of leading lines along the architectures to capture viewers attention. By just looking at the photos you could feel the life and get a sense of what Paris looked like.
