SHENNELLE BINGHAM
When one is transitioning from childhood to adulthood, it’s easy to lose touch of one’s sense of wonder. The world as we know it is vast and has unimaginable things happening all the time; one’s sense of wonder often gets lost from within. Over the period of three weeks I’ve spent here at Parsons, I’ve not only become more in touch with my sense of wonder but also explored and experimented with being comfortable in revealing a part of myself to the world. The pieces of work I chose to display today reflect being a flâneur, the inspiration I got from a photography genius, Eugène Atget, and the revealing of myself through a focus on my spirituality and depression.
