My mind, My iPhone, Paris, Parsons and all of the above.

It was actually pretty hard for me to come up with an idea for the digital tools portion of this assignment. My original idea was to represent my mind as a space in an empty white room then incorporate music and vibrant lights. After failing to find a space that matched my needs, I decided to represent Paris as a space and take a different approach to it instead of just simply filming etc.

My idea was partly inspired by one of my favorite movies “Drive” (2011) and its opening credits which pan over Los Angeles after a very interesting scene in a soothing and nostalgic way.

I then followed the method of tutorials given on iPhones that teach people how to do things they may have trouble learning on their mobile device which mostly incorporates screen recording. Apple’s latest iOS allowed me to do that in a much simpler way without as much software that I would’ve needed prior.

The final idea was to personify Paris, France because it is not just a place, its a living, breathing system with its own personality just like any city. So with that being said, Paris is seen sending me snapchat messages and text messages and you, the class, are viewing it as a first person user.
