MoMa: The Value of Good Design

The object I choose to focus on was the hamper. When first looking at the hamper, I thought it was a picnic basket until reading the sign. It seemed like a typical weaved basket with a lid and two handles on the top. This relates to my toolkit because I needed something lightweight for people to hold, more specifically for children. The concept of having something that is lightweight and easy to carry is something important for my topic. Due to the basket’s lightweight material, the basket itself does not seem to be as heavy which is important for my topic because children won’t want to carry around something that is gonna be heavy and uncomfortable. Additionally, the handles on the hamper, make it easy to be carried. It’s something that someone could just grab and go. The handles on my toolkit will be important so it’s easier for children to pick up.
