Post interview reflection:
After the interview, I essentially confirmed everything that I had been thinking or thought about fashion students. People are aware of the issues, but they have put little to no thought into sustainability. We all have seen the people starving, and in fact, it is a joke. People are dying in africa and asia and now its a joke and cliche to ay out loud. The american public lives in awareness, but they just don’t care. No matter how hard we try we will never get the people to make a conscious effort until it affects us. Therefore, it is my business plan to bring it to the public and force them to buy cheaper clothes than fast fashion that just so happen to be sustainable and ethical. I love my roommate, but he just exemplifies what is exactly wrong with the fashion industry. It is full of the worst and best people in the world.
