Slow Change

In this project, first we chose six pictures, and three pictures are a set. Then we made a audio in class by rapping and cutting the fruits or beating the beads and shells. Finally we chose a set of picture and combine the picture and the audio. For this project, we want to see the slow change of the pictures and how the pictures combine with the background audio. It can create a sense of continuity and help us to understand and to play with the Gestalt principles that we had learnt. We can learn how the audio works with the pictures to explore the imagination of audience. If developed even more, the audio and images can both show  the sense of perceiving time. This experience helps me learn a new tool, premiere, and I can learn how to use audio to make the images meaningful and powerful.

  • I find the second set to be really interesting – the visually stimulating imagery creates a strong sense of closure.

  • Firstly, I liked the unique design of your learning portfolio even though it confused me at first. Secondly I think the set of pictures both have nice transitions from beginning to end, but my favorite is the second one. I expected the end to be just a close up of the slide, so the image of the girl was a positive and creative surprise.

  • I’ll admit Im still confused with both sets, but thats not a bad thing! Im excited to see what you will be able to do with the sounds we recorded last class.

  • I love both series of images but I think the second one is best because it has a more original twist to it which I really like.
