This is a needle-felted rat. I made this in order to appreciate rats more. The rat’s name is Dolores. I made her a outfit; she’s wearing a fur coat, holding a cigarette type thing, carrying a handbag, and wearing a necklace. This is my final Project.

Process.

This was made using Polymer clay. The eyes were made using liquid polymer clay combined with polymer clay and paint. The core structure was made using wire and foil. The character is named Naked Mole Rat. The dog is a Chinese Crested dog, which is considered to be one of the ugliest dog breeds.  

This character was made out of painted polymer clay, her hair was needle felted, her clothing was made using various fabrics. The core structure was made using wire and foil, allowing the body to be moved and repositioned. 

This was a bit of a tough assignment because of the mold material. The end result is made out of plastic, but the mold material was so strong it stuck to the plastic and even broke it a bit. The fingers modeled are a character of mine named Sticks. The object is a keychain version of the character. 

Previous failed attempt.

This was a 1 hour cookie dough disaster. I prefer my process photo to the end result as the cookie dough was a bit too buttery and melting. Plus the cauliflower isn’t my favorite. I like the way the tools look like cutlery in the first one.
