Seminar Journal Exercise

Drafting was an extremely exhausting process. I truly walked out of it feeling like my head was exploding. However, I think it was very successful. It took me a bit of time to initially get into a rhythm to start. Once I got started things started to flow quite nicely. I would flip back and forth from my outline and draft and realized it was quite beneficial to make one an outline.

Seminar-“SHITTY ROUGH DRAFT”

THE VERY SHITTY ROUGH DRAFT…

As kids, we grow up watching our parents share this bond that they created long before we were thought. However back in their time, the idea of dating was a bit different. It was far more organic than what we experience today. Today our society is represented by Instagram dms, snapchat streaks, and tinder matches. The idea of finding love organically does not seem to make as much sense. People would rather hide behind computer screens that confront the person they might be attracted to. Part of the experience is getting those overwhelming butterflies, the feeling that your heart is about to stop, or that……..

Seminar reflection/March 25th

I think in this current state of my research I have a clear direction on the path I would like to go down. As well as subtopics that I would like to delve deeper into it. I think I need to go further on exploring specific details in fashion, as well as major influencers. My ideas of systems have developed and expanded because I have gotten more knowledge about the various systems there are. As people, we are a system and it interesting to see how each function. My favorite reading thus far was the Bruzzi and Gibson reading because its so prevalent in today’s culture.

Pre-field trip assignment

For several years now Venezuela has been in a serious state of crisis due to their corrupt government. However, in the past few days matters have gotten significantly worse because of recent power outage across the country. This power outage is affecting 96% of the country and has been for three days now. There is no running water, no drinking water, as well as no ability to cook because of the lack of electricity.  People do not have gas, food, and hospitals do not even have the ability to care for the patients due to the lack of power. Several patients are dying because doctors cannot get to work. This government is a social system that is doing harm to its country. It is killing the lives of several people, endangering the lives of thousands, and causing continuous harm. There are several things that need to be taken place to help the country and the people of Venezuela. The first thing that needs to be done is an adjustment to power. The government needs to be overthrown and reinstated with better power figures. As citizens of this country and the neighboring countries of Venezuela, we need to be helping the people and children of Venezuela.

Seminar Journal Entry

Its hard to believe that one would make up an entire story of such a horrfying hate crime. It was a cry for attention and very inapproprate. Many people in the world first handly experience hate crimes that are real. They are evil and unhumane. To arrange for a hate crime to be excuted on yourself is almost as shooking. These acts should never be taking lightly. Jussie could arise problems for those that experience hate crimes, by making them seem not problamtic.
