Headphone Bag

Our first assignment for Soft Structures is to create a bag. It might sound simple, but there is a lot more to it than simply generating an idea on your mind and trying to put it together. We had to think of an object that we are constantly carrying with us and base our design around that concept. Thinking a lot about what I am always carrying with me no matter where I go, I came up with this object: my HEADPHONES.

I began to brainstorm of some way I could design a bag that will comfortably fit my Beats Headphones:

A feature about this product is that it is able to fold, meaning an easier storage. Nonetheless, I do not like to fold the pair that I own. So I really kept that in mind: I had to design something in which I could store this product without folding it.folded beats There were three aspects I really wanted to include in the bag:

I am aware of my abilities with sewing, which are very limiting. I have never used a machine, or even hand sewn anything. This project, and it being the very first one, made me very nervous and scared. I’m an artist who really does not enjoy turning something in when i’m not 100% satisfied with it. Nonetheless, since i am aware of all of the above, I decided to go with a simple tote bag design.

tote Since it is a very simple tote bag, I want to decorate & personalize it. I want to do this by drawing free-hand on the bag once it’s completed. I have a style of drawing and i feel like it would made this tote 10 times more interesting.

Having a clear idea of what my project will be, I moved on to creating the flat drawings of my bag. Basically, a guide to how I will cut the fabric in the future. I included seam allowance and everything else that our professor taught us about.

I went on to creating the first sample made out of muslin. The process was very smooth and served as a great learning experience. I got to see what was wrong with the design in terms of design and construction. The weave is pretty thin, so it helped me gain more control with the machine.

The best budget gaming earbuds give you a host of benefits equivalent to an elite pair of wired or Bluetooth earbuds, maybe even more. They free you from cables, allowing you to consume music on the go without being physically tied to your portable devices – smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Even better, they pack a lot of features – great sound, call quality, and special features – in a compact design.
As the category continues to grow in popularity, so does the demand for gaming Bluetooth earbuds, especially with modern smart phones, slowly phasing out the earbuds jack. I sigh at him. Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped tech companies like Sony, Samsung, and even Apple from launching stellar gaming Bluetooth buds. We’re also seeing other popular electronics brands like Jabra and Anker jump on the gaming Bluetooth earbuds bandwagon, launching superior products that hold their own against taller dogs.
