An interdisciplinary team of researchers are given a grant summing up to $225,000 given by the Andre W. Mellow foundation. Professor of Anthropology Gustav Peebles and Professor of History Emma Park served as the principal investigators on the project, “Currency and Empire: Monetary Policy, Race, and Power.” They will be joined by Professor of History Aaron Jakes, Professor of Economics Sanjay G. Reddy, and Professor of Economics Paulo L dos Santos as well as other international scholars during the grant’s timeline.
