I am an individual with major interests in Colorful abstract paintings, ever since i was a young child i was always attracted bright colors, it was after i saw my first rainbow after a rainfall where it all started. I even started painting and started with random objects, lines and scribbles and always went with what i felt composed an appealing painting. Recently,I came across an interesting artist named Wassily who I decided to research more about after feeling a connection and finding some similarities from his work in my own art pieces.

Wassily Kandinsky was born on December 16, 1866  in Moscow. His family was a wealthy family, in a good cultural businessman environment. 5 years after he was born, his family moved to Odessa where his dad ran his tea factory. He was an active kid and spent his time doing extra curricular activities such as playing the piano and the cello, as well as drawing lessons. He stated ” I remember that drawing and a little bit later painting lifted me out of the reality” and I believe that was where self growth stated. He also explained that each color was drawn by its mysterious life. Fast forward, his parents were hesitating of him becoming and artist and insisted for him to pursue a degree in law. Despite that, Kandinsky  insisted and managed to go to Munich which was considered to be one of the centers for European art. It as important for him to come true to himself and portray his anxiety within his art work. Later on, he moved to Paris to continue with his art journey.

lastly, the Parisian artistic environment turned to be reserved to Kandinsky’s presence. The reasons for that were his isolation from foreign colleagues and absence of recognition of abstract painting in general. Due to this, he was lonely and limited his communication to friends. At this time the last transformation of his painting system happened. Also, Kandinsky did not use a combination of primary colors but worked with soft, refined, subtle nuances of color to express his feelings.
