Composting video

A collaborated video done with my partner represents the information we learned about composting. We both chose to learn about composting and how it works. We made this quick animation video to explain what composting is and how it can be done at home. I made the video while my partner animated it.

Project tracking

This assignment required us to pick a routine we have in our life and track it. I chose to track how much my hand moves in a day from playing games. I chose to track my mouse movement while playing video games. That is when my hand is the most active. At first I tried to use a marker and attach it to my mouse, but it didn’t work out too well. I did some research and found a program that actually tracks it for me. So I made a couple of drafts until I found one that was interesting.

Wire Hat

Our assignment was to create a wire hat of our choice, and then create a hat stand to represent your persons personality.

My original hat stand was just like everyone else in my class. I wasn’t happy because I wanted it to stand out. I wanted to be different.

I cut the leaves of the rose with a Cut-Off Saw using a cut off blade. Then I used a bench grinder to clean up the edges. Next I used sand paper and a file to smooth out the edges so no one gets hurt.

I decided to make an enormous metal rose. I made a quick paper model. It would not hold its shape. I thought of making it out of metal because it is malleable and holds its shape. I also found metal shelves in the green room. Which turned this project into a free and recycled project.

For this hat I chose to recreate the tri-corn Hat that was worn by Lillie Langtry. I chose to create a metal rose for my hat stand and spray paint it pink to represent Lillie Langtry and her femininity of being the only girl in the family.
