2. General area of research

To Eat

3. Area of interest and specific focus

Food in schools

4. Historical example of slow design

In todays society food is often thought of as secondary and whatever is quickest and cheapest is the best possible way. Before this method that is thought of in todays society, societies would take their time to produce the best crop possible.

5. Interviews report

Table or list of interviews, which includes numbers of people, general demographics, etc. PLUS a summary of what you learned from the interviews and how it will inform your project.

6. What needs to be observed

I need to observe childrens/teenagers eating habits in school settings.

7. Main idea you’re working on and how it relates to the Slow Movement

My main idea is to bring back gardening and preparation to schools main curriculum. This relates to slow movement by changing the way  of a “fast paced society” and going back to the basics. What if in order to eat we had to garden and prepare our own food?

8. Precedents

There is a camp that is a gardening camp where you can learn to grow food.

9. Inspirations

The need for children to have a healthy lifestyle  and knowledge about what they are consuming is 100 percent necessary. I think that the reason people don’t eat well is because they are just not aware, so if I could make them aware by integrating it into the curriculum of schools it wouldn’t be far from reach.

10. Skills

You will need to use two areas of knowledge, skills, or discipline that you already have for this project. What are the two areas?
