Les Pères Lachaises Part One: Cemetery Visit

Here is a collection of photos I took at the cemetery. Below in italics are my thoughts on each photo, and what they mean to me in the context of this project. The last photo is my sketchbook thoughts.

The circle of life ever present in this place. The leaves grow, and then fall, and then into the soil they go. Just as we do. We grow, then fall, then into the soil we go.

Almost a city within a city. The skyline of tombstones. Who walks these streets at night? Are they empty or filled with the ghosts of the city inhabitants?
