After finalizing my concept, I went to work on my illustration board measuring, cutting, designing, and coloring.  The final product is made of illustration board with no extra textures or bindings.  The initial presentation is the title “The Ugly Book of Thirdness” which takes it’s name after the unpractical manner in which it is assembled.  It definitely isn’t made to distribute or carry around New York City.  The title  is broken up into segments which create the whole image. By removing the top layer the book begins narration with design of typography and charcoal illustration. As the layers are stacked underneath each other more clues are given as to what we are experiencing.  In the end, the image completes itself and reveals the Empire State Building.
