Time:Metro- Project 3 Part 1: SOUND

We are discovering the 3 modes of listening by Michel Chion and working on a project that illustrates to the class which modes we are using when creating a conceptual audio file.  The three modes are Causal, Semantic, and Reduced. My sound file consists of mostly causal sound because the sounds you hear, you may be able to identify, but not necessarily the source. What may sound like a heartbeat is probably the muffled tap on the top of a hollow box. The collection of sounds that I use begin with a tone that marks the beginning of a story, and again a tone that marks the end of the story. Hopefully I will successfully illustrate a story with a climax and ending using causal sound files.
