Concept: I was inspired by the comfort food that was usually made by my mother when I was a child. I was trying to create a feeling of home. As I am personally interested in platonic solid shapes, and natural hand-making stuff, all theses factors were reflected in the bowl’s shape and techniques. About the color usage, blue and yellow is kind of classic color in Chinese culture, so I decided to use these two as the major colors in my project . Also, the pattern on both of the ceramic set and the placemat were trying to keep the connections with geometric shapes, but depicted in a different way.

Boiled them for an hour
Putting the fabric into the pot and keep 40 to 60 minutes
Taking the fabric out and letting it dry
After repeating the process 15 times.
