This project is about using an animal as inspiration to make a wearable piece for my partner. I used Jellyfish to represent my partners: Fly and Dylan.
Jellyfish has the most attractive looking, but some types of jellyfish carry with the most deadliness venom that is by stinging any kind of lives touches it, such as cubozoa. Because of the appearance look so beautiful, many duckers might attract by this animal and get poison without knowing it. Therefore, jellyfish remind me of woman who is called Fly. She is the one who has the beautiful looking but has the poison part inside of her. However, I believed that this kind of bad part is due to protect herself by not let other people hurting her. I used rice papers to made a skirt. Due to the material quality is very soft, it represent as the tentacle of a jellyfish. I also use jellyfish as an inspiration to make a cloak for Dylan. I kept this cloak in a simple way which had a connection with Dylan’s personality. For me, Dylan is a very mystical person, it is like a jellyfish which has a lot of side we didn’t know.
