The Garden of Earthly Delights

The Garden of Earthly Delights

FullSizeRender image1 image2 image3 image4 image5 image6 image8 image10 image9This project is an “Exquisite Corpse” of The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymous Bosch. We were inspired by the natural elements and living creatures in this painting. As a main idea, we focused on water, which is the one of the most essential factors of every living thing. We decided to make the water element the focal point of our project. We were trying to make a 2D and 3D project that could represent the natural world. First, we put a real fish tank and a living fish in the center of our project. Secondly, we surrounded the fish bowl with images of living species, such as butterflies, ducks, birds and humans. We attached living creatures to small, handmade metal springs so when a wind comes by, all the living creatures move and fly.

I was responsible for the down right part which is about human figures. I drew all the human figure and cut it. Also, I made each figure a head box and help other partners to put all things together.
