Week 3: Gentrification Magazine

This is the beginning stages of my art book for time with my focused group being index.
Studio: SoHo Map
Neighborhood: SoHo
Observations: many stores local and high end stores attracting many tourists to go shopping. People come to SoHo for the shopping experience in NYC. But despite the many different stores and coffee shops I want the focus of my map to be the things you should not leave SoHo without seeing.
Proposal: to make a map of the most visited places of SoHo including high-end stores that aren’t everywhere that people would want to see for the first time, bakeries that have the best stars to accommodate their food, and other highly visited sites.

New Time Persona: Eating Disorder
Party Persona Write Up
Ever had a crazy dream about this ravish glittery house party? The party that everyone knows of and wants to be at, and when you come into the party all heard turn waiting in your return. That is my persona’s life. Ready to party despite the outcome or the problems she is ready to drink and get the night started. She’s flashy and outgoing not caring about who is in her way. By the end of the night she is stumbling, falling, and smoking a cigarette at ease that her night is fabulous as long as she doesn’t remember. When coming back from this extravagant party while dress is torn and heels are dirty she passes out wherever her drunk mind lets her.
My persona had a rough life no body cares about her so she doesn’t care about any one else, out of past events. She goes out planning on getting Kesha wasted while knowing on the inside that she is alone in every event. She plays drinking games with a bunch of people in her tight dress and highest of heels. She doesn’t attend school but she attends the after party. Everyone knows what to prepare for the arrival for my persona, including a bunch of hard alcohol, a pack of cigarettes, and drugs of any kind. When the door to the party opens a twinkle in her eye forms and she is ready to get the night started.
Everyone knows my persona as the not giving a shit kinda girl while getting wasted where ever she wants. People know when they see her its going to be a night they remember forever because they wont be able to leave unless they are plastered and not remember their name according to my persona. Also everyone sees her not going anywhere, no college degree and nothing to show for all the years she partied recklessly. Her parents are disappointed which makes her wanna go out and get wasted even more. She realized that not caring about the ones around you, even if they are fake, she will deal with them just so she can get some alcohol out of it.
First Persona Project: Party Persona
This is the first state of my project where I had a partying persona who loved alcohol and the non-caring feeling when it comes to many different experiences.
