Marit Fujiwara
-She graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2009 and then set up her own company Tanana Takite.
-She adopts an experimental attitude towards materials, combining traditional printing techniques with embroidery and fabric manipulation.
-She specialises in mixed media and constructive textiles, she created some unique pieces that push the boundaries between art, craft and design.
-She bases her work on drawing allowing fluidity to her garments projecting the idea of movement and time.
For each piece of fabric patterns together, here comes into an unexpected outcome. Marit Fujiwara used bright colors, but when they came together, I felt even more graceful.

Process:
For this project, I was inspired by Marit Fujiwara, who is a textile designer. She adopts an experimental attitude towards materials. Combining traditional printing techniques with embroidery and fabric manipulation. And also apply the textiles she made to garments which were gorgeous. Then I wanted to try making textile also because this is an area that I have never done before. The final work looks like a collage. I used both machine and hand sewing in this project. Embroidery was a very important part in this work and I found it was very interesting. Although it took a lot of time, the work came out really attracting.
