Sources for the Bronx Botanical Garden Conservatory

This book contains the history of the garden and how it has changed throughout the years. The author also touches base on topics that I believed are relevant to my research. For example, how the plants are taken care of based on their composition and where they come from.

This source allows me to explore the overall Botanical Garden including specific details about the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. It also covers the exhibitions shown in the conservatory.

This google scholar article focuses on the economical aspect of harvesting some of the plants that are selected for the conservatories around the world. Sustainability is important for this source just like it’s for the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.

Interviewing a person that has first hand information about what goes on in the conservatory will allow me to clarify any doubts in the research process. This person will be able to give me his opinion about the conservatory and the process of selecting the plants for the exhibitions.

In this website I found information about specific plants in the Botanical Garden which includes the plants inside the conservatory. This source also includes researches about the conservatory’s botany and its infrastructure.
6. Project Muse: Deitz, Paula. Of Gardens: Selected Essays. Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 2011.
This online source gives the author’s point of view about landscapes. In these essays Deitz, vividly describes her surroundings and experience. This source gives me a different perspective about the Botanical Garden because is based on a writer’s understanding of what she sees.
