I am taking Sustainable Systems class, and I planned to use receipts in one of my projects. After learning about its toxins, I decided not to use it for my sustainable class project, rather for my daily object. I rolled the receipts. Then, formed them as blooming flowers.

I found some ribbon in my room and braised it. Then I used some matches and glued them.

I glued cotton swabs as though it were layers of blocks. After finishing this piece, it resembled an abstract building.

I used the caps from two of my water bottles and glued some matches on the bottom. It appears to look like a sea animal, such as an octopus or jellyfish

I found a new pack of staples and carefully took them apart by hand. Next I connected them using glue. This seems like a mini- abstract sculpture.

My thought)
When I completed my 60 objects, I didn’t think or have any idea about my creations. I simply looked around in my surroundings for materials to make my objects. I also thought about what materials I could use for the first time, and decided to keep it for my work. By creating my daily objects, I learned about my imagination and its impact on my work. I realized that I tended to use repeating patterns, connecting pieces of materials, and circles. Also I observed that some of my classmates are drawn towards many colors, but I prefer my work to be uncolored, orginal.
