This wooden base is the holder for my 3D wire hand that holds an air plant. To make this, I measured a hexagon and the corresponding side panels. The base has two platforms in it, one at the bottom and one about 2 inches from the top for the wire hand to sit on top of. I used the band saw to cut each piece and sanded it by hand. After having each piece, I pre-drilled each hole and screwed in tiny screws to hold everything together.
