For the first project in Time, our task was to create a piece centered around the idea of something being frozen in time. Our professor encouraged us to learn the art of bookmaking, so I decided to make a flipbook using still “frozen” images and constructing them in such a way to add motion.
I took pictures of my friend Amy blinking so that individually, the photos showed the mechanics of her facial features while blinking but in the flip book were given a certain movement and motion.
I love making text centered art and focused a lot on the front cover of the book and it’s title and lettering.
