Through this sculpture I wanted to visualize my experience of first walking into Times Square as a child. I used wire materials so that I was able to convey my emotions of fear in that moment. I then also used paper to shows my current opinions of the place. I also wanted to show the fakeness of Times Square by projecting both images of the consumerism of the tourists and the struggles of the homeless. After getting feedback from fellow classmates I agree that the flashing images do illustrate the chaotic nature of Times Square but that some sounds would have created a greater overall effect.
