Bridge 4 New Monument

Our group first started off this group project of redesigning a monument by deciding the branding since, this would effect each of our redesigns. Knowing that the Charging Bull has already shifted meanings to fit the contemporary views of our society. It no longer stands for endurance and strength as it becomes a sign of money, greed, and power with its place in the financial district. We planned on having our brand to have its branding as making a commentary on the current state of the Charging Bull with its tourism with the location pinpoint on the logo. For our souvenirs we wanted to use the insecurity that people had after the stock market crash by using the statement”Do you feel secure?” on our security blanket and our money clip. For our brochure we decided to give it a more modern feel to fit with our ideas of redesigning a newer monument. Also, we decided to add the souvenirs to our brochure since, they are also redesigns of the original existing souvenirs of the Charging Bull. For my redesign of the monument I decided to make a statement on the excessive rubbing of the bull’s testicles by tourists by creating a ball like structure. It would be made of steel to play on the term “balls made of steel.” This would also refer to the original monument as the Charging Bull had also once meant strength. To convey the greed and power in the redesign I drew snakes on the white steel ball. This monument will be white to contrast with its original pure
