For the new branding of the Charging Bull, one of the souvenirs is a money clip. Tagged with a quote,” Do you feel Secure,” we are referring to the insecurity that often comes with the stock market due to unpredictable fluctuations. Our purpose for this product is for consumers to be able to safekeep their money due to their distrust in a stable economy. Thus, when binding their bills with this clip, they are answering the imminent question on the money clip.
Also, being that it is comprised up of metal sheets and stamping it is quite easy to manufacture.
As the money clip is made for dollar bills and such, it dates back to how conservative people had to be with their money when concerned with the recent stock market crash all those years ago, paying homage to how difficult is was to hold on to your money, yet how important it was for survival. The clip is a small, yet very significant souvenir that even questions the users with a message “do you feel secure”, playing on the people that use money a lot more often and could possibly see the clips without anymore due to waste.
For our second souvenir, we chose a blanket to continue this imminent question, “Do you feel secure”? In our contemporary society, we associate blankets as things we reach for when we are in need of comfort and stability. Playing on this idea of a safety blanket, we are bringing humour to the the topic on the fragility of powerhouse economics.
