Group Project Inspired from ‘Take an Object’ (week 9-10)

Trip to the MoMa

This class, we went to the MoMa to look at the ‘Take an Object’ exhibition where we had to write how we felt looking at each piece and the things that triggered us. We also drew sketches of the objects. After that, we came together as a group and shared our notes. When we came back from the met, we shared a google drive where we will be communicating through for homework and notes. Because it is a group project, there were some difficulty matching up each other’s free time as our schedules vary. From this, we decided to communicate online and do our own sketches that was inspired from the piece we saw at the MoMa — “Untitled”. After doing three sketched, Chloe put a presentation together while we relate all three of our work into a final piece we could potentially create. We also talked about how this piece will be used in the future and how it could effect others positively.

Homework and communication

This week, we communicated mainly through google drive as it was hard to settle on a time to meet up. We all drew three individual sketches from an object we chose from the exhibition and then combined all our ideas together to create the final piece. This week was when we presented our idea to the class.
