Nothing is ever a mistake.
Take chances.
Face challenges.
Everything is an experience.
Never stop learning.
Never stop being curious.
And never stop growing.
Put your mind to it; and you are capable of anything. Work up to your fullest potentials. Don’t
limit yourself.
Take time to understand.
There is always an answer; it’s just the matter of finding it.
Don’t rush yourself.
It’s okay to be lost.
Look for inspiration.
Go discover.
Be spontaneous.
Allow yourself to be free.
Don’t just think about things.
Act now.
Make a difference.
Be patient.
Practice doesn’t make perfect: it improves.
Nothing is perfection. No one is perfect.
Listen; but don’t believe everything.
Remember your past; but don’t live in it.
Embrace the present; and make the most of it.
Nurture yourself; and care for others.
Help those in need, and you will be returned.
Things come and go.
It will past; time heals all.
Love.

Final Poster:
I chose to only use one sentence from my manifesto and develop into it further. “Don’t limit yourself” is my sentence, written across the poster. Although we are aware how powerful our minds are, we tend to overlook it, because of the things we have going on in our daily lives. In this poser, I wanted to express that through several silhouettes. The small, black silhouette represent our current mind, and the colored ones show our potential if we are to explore, study, etc. more. The different colors show the many parts of our brains, combined into one big one, yet there are no limits (this is why I chose to not align the individual silhouettes evenly–to show its movement in expansion). I also chose to extend the text beyond the silhouette to show the breaking of mental barrier. Though I know that by capitalizing the letters, the words will appear more powerful, but I think that lower cases give a softer effect in the movement. This way, it will also not distract the viewer from the silhouettes itself.
After Critique on Wednesday:
After the critique on Wednesday, I went back to re-edit my poster. Andrew recommended that I adjust the layout of the text written across, because even though my main focus was the flow movement of the text and images, the ‘dip’ in the ‘limit’ was doing the opposite. I also moved the whole text more to the left, and enlarged the size of the last few letters to give it more of an expansive feel. In addition, I re-distorted the green head: smaller forehead, emphasized and centralized the features a bit more. I also lightened the purple to show more of a contrast between the black silhouette and the color, and elongated the neck of the smaller head (because my initial one looked like it was cut off uncomfortably). Finally, I cropped the size of the poster because I got some feedbacks that I had too much negative space at the top in comparison to the bottom (though I intended to do that initially).
