Video of Comic Strip

I have also combined multiple still images of the comic and made it into a video but unfortunately, the size of the clip is too large to upload it online.

The comic strip starts off with a peaceful man meditating. The background portrays peace and his thinking bubble shows exactly how he wants the world to be like: peaceful with the love of all races, but the last thinking bubble was partially popped because of the disturbance of his mediation caused by the loud noises from where he is in reality. So instead of the peaceful world that he had imagined, people are getting killed. When he opens his eyes to see what is really going on, he can see people chanting as part of a cult promoting hate and supporting racism, he couldn’t stand this site so he stands up to them and yells “racist” at them to let them know what they are doing is wrong.

This comic strip was inspired by what I have experienced in union square. I saw a group of people reading the bible and yelling into a camera. There was also a Native American guy standing there yelling at them. I was curious to what was going on so I decided to observe more and talked to the guy yelling at them. He explained to me that these people are part of a cult that is unhappy about what happened in the past to black people and wants a division of races, which also supports racism in a way. After explaining the situation, he went on to talking about what he does — which turns out that he is a very spiritual person (so I was inspired to draw him meditating).

As you can see, these images are very rough because I wasn’t allowed to document the situation so I did it as discrete as possible.
