How much do we rely on cellphones?
The data shows that Thursday and Friday were the days that I used my phone the most, 52 times and 51 times, respectively. This finding may be because I tend to check my messages between different classes in order to keep in contact with my friends. However, on Wednesday, I used my cellphone less than Thursday and Friday. One reason for this finding is that, instead of school, I work, which means that I have less free time to use my cellphone.
The least amount of cellphone usage is on Saturday and Sunday. During the weekend, I use my cellphone less because the people with whom I contact are my friends, who are also my roommates. Since we are in the same living space, I do not need to use my cellphone to communicate with them.
Overall, I have used my cellphone over 200 times over the past 5 days. Indeed, I am surprised at the way in which I am dependent on my cellphone because there is not one day where I do not use it. Thus, according to my findings on the number of times I have used my cellphone, it is a living necessity to me.
