Panic
My story will combine the emotions of guilt and surprise where the persona will reflect the personality of a young, smart, innocent but very anxious student. Her clothing style will be very simple and will reflect her as an uptight teenager. Under stress and anxiousness she will be lead to do things she shouldn’t and wouldn’t usually do. She will feel guilty. In my story, surprise will not be a joyful and happy moment but one of shock and astonishment, and emphasizing on the stress that will come after.
This straight A student will find herself in a situation where concentration and her focus will not be present, for once. She will start working in the afternoon, taking her time. She will suddenly realize that it is night time outside and looking at the time on her watch she will be taken by surprise: she is running out of time. As her paper is still blank at that time she thinks for a moment and gives up. She closes her laptop and feels guilty for the rest of the night.
Through a degradation of colour saturation the guilt and the time passing will be emphasised. Using Photoshop I will create layers at the moment of shock to concentrate on the time, the watch and clock on the laptop. The movement of the laptop closing will also be harsh, using effects and photo distortion on really show the movement. The last scene will be the guilty face: the photo will be blurred and the colour saturation will be really low.
