Projected emotions
This silent short film is taken in one place and has one character. On her bed the girl turns on the television (the tv itself is the lighting source for the whole video). Playing with the reflection of the screen I decided to create a stop motion of her feelings and emotions rising and changing while looking at her screen. With yellow and blue (excitement and calmness) the shapes are constantly growing and changing, depending on what she is watching, what she is feeling. I took pictures of every brush stroke I added to the watercolor pieces, of various shapes of watercolor. Putting them into a stop motion, I overlaid that video with the shots of the girl on her bed, in such a way where the watercolors would show on her white tee-shirt, so her emotions inside her body would show. Their are different transitioned cuts of the video which gives an effect of continuity where time goes through faster.
