This is my final piece for Bridge 1, instead of changing the collage, I chose to do a deeper research on the background of my inspirational photo A Northumbrian Miner at his Meal by BILL BRANDT (as follow).

A Northumbrian Miner at his Meal

This photography was shot in 1937, few years after the British Great Depression ( 1929-1933). During the Great Depression, millions and millions people lost their jobs. During this same period, Brandt ventured to several industrial towns in northern England to witness the impact of the Depression. Besides the A Northumbrian Miner at his Meal, more of the photographs of Brandt were on the similar themes which are “Striking”, “Poverty”,”Unemployment” and “War”.
