Tableau

Most of my garbage pieces are plastic and wax paper, I used a wax paper bag as the based board of my sculpture and glued clear plastic bags, plastic film box, wasted Chinese dates, paper food bags, contact lenses containers, cigarette box and ribbons on the top. l leave the wax paper bag holder on the sculpture, therefore, this piece can be a head sculpture and also a decorated “garbage” bag. The background of this tableau is a garbage corner in my community, the background I chose could let people know the next destination that these garbage will go after we through it. The messy garbage corner shows people that the garbage recycles are still not strict enough in China right now, which also corresponded with the mixture of garbages in my sculpture.
