Above is one of my in-class drawing I made for the project.
For the sticker image above I chose to do the figure ground gestalt principle. In the image you can see this principle as I created a line or ground sensation using two stickers which had horizontal lines. I then place two sticker which seemed to have a figure and a window above the ground.
For this sticker image I decided to focus on the continuation. One can notice the continuation as there are vertical and horizontal lines which seem to lead in the same direction but do not entirely meet to create a line. One imagines or continues the line to create shapes when looking at the piece.
For this assignment I wanted to focus not only on the composition the stickers created but also on the texture the stickers had on the window. I realised that the more I handled the stickers the more smudge marks they got, therefore instead trying to erase these marks I decided to make them part of the piece.
