7 Curated Outfits, 7 Domestic Objects, 7 National/Cultural Objects

One of the two performances that I performed on my 22nd birthday, October 2nd, 2018. In front of an audience, I stripped down and changed in and out of 7 different curated outfits in order to explore the interaction between my Brown+ Colombian + Queer + Latine/x body with the various cultural/national/domestic/religious objects which were spread around the space

Each outfit, which I pulled out of a small black suitcase, consisted of new layers, socks, underwear and perfumes/colognes
.
Dressed in cultural/national items such as gold catholic jewelry, ruana, a sombrero volteado, beaded Colombian bracelets, ”It’s Colombia not Columbia” shirt, a Colombian soccer jersey, and my ORGULLO flag I interacted with domestic items which included: a nail file, a hammer, Spotify, a plunger, a mirror, a dustpan, a brush, and tiles
