“PROFÉTICO DE VIOLENCIA CINÉTICA: SOCIAL VIOLENCE”

“PROFÉTICO DE VIOLENCIA CINÉTICA: SOCIAL VIOLENCE” explores the brown queer spectacle in contrast with an institutional call for agency. As Queer Brown bodies, we are constantly fetishized and ostracized simultaneously within institutions that seek to marginalize and tokenize us. This performance subverts the narrative binaries of spectacle vs. agent, and offers a nuanced exploration of body, sexuality, intimacy, and agency. The performance would take place in the new school’s auditorium/or front window panels with a transcript and audio of our conversation from the our performance “PROFÉTICO DE VIOLENCIA CINÉTICA: OPERA DEMBOW + LATIN TRAP ”. During the performance, we would be sitting on a large cardboard sheet while nude. In front of us will be a mirror with the words “WE ARE ONE FLUID THOT” written in lipstick. With our arms linked/intertwined, we each will pick a peach from our pile and bite into them as we whisper our lovers names. Our free hands will each be holding a container with which we will collect the peach juice which that drips from one another’s mouths. When we finish eating our lovers, we will drink one another’s peach juice and conclude the performance. The audience is invited to look around and read the transcript and the mirror while we perform.
