I started to work on this presentation by thinking about the semester so far. I was interested in Public Interactives, and had some knowledge; however after this class started, with our meetings, discussions, field trips and reflections, I feel like not only my interest and knowledge grew, but also the connections between Public Interactives and other interests I have. Now I link PI to politics, critical thinking, entertainment, and even daily things, like pumpkin spice lattes.
I think that the group’s very diverse background enriches the experience, as well as all the different angles we use to see things and hats we use to think and talk about them. Since I am seeing some of the PI for the second time, it is also easier to control my experience, being able to choose my role and be open to understand the piece in more than one way.
In conclusion, I see my learning process as building and creating new things. We are not only adding to each others’ experiences and background, we are creating new knowledge and insights.
