Instructions of Project :
Explore a space of 8m3 in pairs. Students can use any media to document their work (photo, animated photo, videos, animated sketches…) and any material they like, as long as it is ephemeral and easily removable. This project can be developed as an installation, a mock-up model, a film, a performance, etc, with material and/or digital tools.
Taking inspiration from nature’s creations we created our own cocoon/spiderweb.
We started off making sketches. Then once we had our idea figured out we looked for places in which we could realize this project.
Going to Bois de Vincennes we found a secluded area in which we could start exploring.
By using nature’s formation we created the space within the space between trees.
We used silk ribbon and string to resemble the material which spiders create when making there web.
And taking inspiration from tight ropers in Bois de Vincennes.
