“PAPER MANIPULATION”

In this Project, I and Emma decided to manipulate paper and create a shirt.

First off we made some sketches to figure out what exactly we wanted the shirt to look like. Then to figure out the right shapes and finally the right dimensions to be able to cut our patterns.

Secondly, we cut the paper, making patterns which we then emerged in water.

Third of all, we started to fold and crumble the paper which was now more flexible to create a very unique look to our “material”.

Fourth of all, we put in the paper into the microwave to enhance the texture and dry it at the same time.

As the next step, we ironed the paper to create a soft, nice looking material and then sewed the parts together.

Finally, we doodled on it to use the paper to its full potential.
