Before coming to Parsons, I took a sabbatical year to horseback ride. Ive been a horseback rider my entire life and I’ve always been inspired by the sport and horses. I would always be competing in and out of the country, but in my downtime I would design. I used to design my own competition shirts and have them made with a seamstress. This is why, I knew that if I came to Parsons , I wanted to create my own equestrian line. Apart from that, in El Salvador, my sisters and I created a business called: Farm Conviction, which is a sustainable life style brand. This business will be divided in four branches, and mine will be fashion. So this is why i decided to name my magazine Conviction, to connect the brand that already exists and my future equestrian line. For my final seminar paper, I researched sweatshops in Bangladesh and the effects of fast fashion, because if I will create a fashion line, I want it to be created in a sustainable environment.
